Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my blog Gainesville Eats! My name is Rochelle Alleyne and I am a Telecommunications and Political Science dual-major at the University of Florida. I aspire to one day become a TV News Anchor/Reporter for a major news outlet. But in the meantime I'm going to need to eat. I absolutely love to cook and try new recipes, as well as eat out at new restaurants. However, since moving to Gainesville, FL two years ago I haven't been able to do much of either. Which is why I plan to use this blog as an outlet for my all my "food-ventures" in Gainesville.
I think you can tell a lot about a city based on its food, restaurants, and markets. So, I plan to explore all that Gainesville has to offer, since it will be my home away from home for at least two more years. I will use my blog to share information on great recipes, local restaurants, local farmers markets and much more. And I am definitely looking forward to getting feedback from you! But until then, happy eating! :)
